什么是证券市场线？(a security market line?)
证券市场线，也称为SML，被称为特征线，是风险收益线的图形。这条线是资本资产定价模型（CAPM）的产物，它描绘了市场风险和预期回报之间的关系。分析师用它来比较不同投资组合的投资回报。具体来说，这条线有助于分析师识别在一定回报水平下的合理风险水平。投资组合经理通常使用它来寻找额外的资产以添加到投资组合中。。
投资者通常希望从一项资产中获得两样东西——无风险和高回报——但这种组合很难找到。因此，投资组合经理使用工具帮助他们确定资产的最佳价格。证券市场线是一种可视化工具，可以帮助管理者和分析师确定资产在市场中是否估值过高或过低，从而最终导致更好的决策和更有利可图的投资组合。
CAPM用于确定特定资产的回报。公式是Ks=Krf+B（Km-Krf），其中Ks是给定证券的回报率，Krf是无风险回报率，Km是平均市场回报率，B是β。贝塔代表非多元化风险；也就是说，无法通过持有股票组合分散的风险。基于贝塔系数，证券市场线以无风险利率或零风险开始，然后向上向右移动。低风险投资位于投资线的起点，因此投资线越高，证券的风险就越大。。
如果单个证券的价格线高于组合证券市场价格线，则表明该股票被低估。如果股票标在下方，则表示股票估值过高。在前一种情况下，考虑到风险水平，投资者可以预期更高的回报；在后一种情况下，投资者预期的回报率低于风险水平相同的可比证券。换句话说，SML帮助投资组合经理在给定一定风险水平的情况下确定最佳回报水平。经济增长、全球资本市场状况的变化和通货膨胀等宏观经济因素也会导致这种情况发生变化。。
