什么是3g网络？(a 3g network?)
根据国际电信联盟标准，3G网络是第三代移动网络和电信。与以前的2G网络相比，它具有更广泛的服务范围，提高了网络容量，还提高了被称为频谱效率的信息传输速率。电话技术得到了更广泛的应用，同时视频和宽带无线数据传输也受到了积极的影响。这些标准被确定为IMT-2000标准。
3G网络提供每秒14.4兆比特的下载速度和每秒5.8兆比特的上传速度。静止用户的最低速度为每秒2兆比特，而移动车辆中的用户可以期望每秒348千比特。该方案称为分层系统，其中每个传输具有三层信息。顶层是通用服务，中间层是控制数据传输，底层是基本连接信息。
WiFi®或IEEE 802.11技术与此网络之间存在明显差异。WiFi®基本上是一种短程网络，提供专为数据传输而设计的高带宽。3G网络面向移动电话技术和互联网接入。
日本和韩国是第一批成功启动这一网络的国家。日本FOMA公司于2001年5月成立，韩国SK电信公司于2002年1月成立。英国的英国电信和美国的莫奈移动网络也紧随其后。到2007年，大多数国家已经实施了这项技术。
然而，这项技术的延迟推广影响了许多国家移动技术的发展。该网络使用与2G不同的无线电频率，这迫使许多公司建立全新的基础设施并获得额外的许可证。中国和印度尼西亚等国家故意选择多年不让公民接触该网络。
