任何东西(anything)和一切(everything)的区别
关键区别：任何事物都意味着任何一件事物，而一切事物都包括所有看得见和看不见的事物“任何事物”是指事物列表中的任何一件或两件事物，而“一切事物”是指列表中的所有事物。
我想每个人都会同意英语是一门非常复杂的语言，相似的词有完全不同的意思，不同的词可能意味着完全相同的东西。当决定使用“everything”和“anything”时，这种混淆也会出现。这些词有着完全不同的定义，尽管人们每天都在使用它们，但对于何时应该使用这些词却没有固定的解释。
根据韦氏词典，“anything”的意思是“anything whatever；“一切”的定义是“一切存在；与主题相关的所有内容；在大多数情况下，“Anything”用来描述单数和复数，其中Anything表示事物列表中的任何一个或两个事物，而“everything”用来单独描述复数，其中列表中的所有事物都表示该列表中的所有对象。一切都是存在的，看得见的和看不见的；所有的东西。
通过在不同的上下文中使用这些词，这些词更容易解释，使它们更容易理解。让我们以马特为例；马特拿到一张购物清单，要求他a）把清单上的东西都带上，b）把清单上的东西都带上。在第一个场景中，Matt需要购买列表中给出的所有东西，而在第二个场景中，Matt只需要从列表中购买一到两件东西。
另一个例子：约翰说：“除了去打保龄球，我什么都愿意做。”或者约翰说，“除了去打保龄球，我什么都愿意做。”在第一个例子中，约翰会做要求他做的一切，但不去打保龄球；而在第二个例子中，约翰会做任何事情，包括没有要求他做的事情，而不是去打保龄球。在这句话中，凡事都是指他被要求做的所有事情，而凡事都是指他被要求做的所有任务，包括他没有被要求做的所有任务。
这些术语有完全不同的含义，不是同义词。它们的用法也非常不同，不应互换。
