什么是地址栏？(the address bar?)
地址栏是Web浏览器顶部的窄文本字段，其中显示当前显示的网站地址。它也称为通用资源定位器（URL）。
出现在地址栏中的网站地址以http://开头，它告诉浏览器页面是用超文本标记语言（HTML）编写的。如果访问站点通过文件传输协议（FTP）下载文件，则栏中的地址将以FTP:///开头。Web浏览器也可以像文件管理器一样用于查看硬盘驱动器文件。在这种情况下，地址栏用于通过以C:\或所选驱动器开头来导航到文件。
冲浪者通过点击活动链接，自动将目的地地址粘贴到网站的地址栏中，从而在网上漫游。另一种冲浪方式是手动在栏中键入地址。如果输入错误，Web浏览器将显示错误页面，或者如果购买的域是键入的，则浏览器将引导您进入该页面。通常，拼写错误的网址会被第三方购买，以将流量重定向到非预期站点。网络钓鱼诈骗采用了类似的技术，使用合法网站的另一种拼写来欺骗人们提供个人信息。
提供免费匿名冲浪的网站为冲浪者提供自己的地址栏。冲浪者必须在网站提供的特殊栏中输入目标网址，而不是在其浏览器栏中输入。通过使用提供的条，匿名服务充当代理。它将所有信息传递到冲浪者的浏览器，同时在网上留下自己的轨迹，而不是冲浪者的互联网协议（IP）地址。
在网址旁边的地址栏中出现一个小小的个性化图标已经成为一种流行。该图标称为favicon，通常是一个公司徽标。当网站被添加书签时，favicon也会出现在书签菜单中。
