区域方言，也称为区域方言或拓扑方言，是特定地理区域所说语言的一种独特形式。如果父母传给孩子的语言形式是一种独特的地方方言，那么这种方言就是孩子的方言。

People commute to work in London from as far afield as Birmingham.
