在英语语法中,复合是将两个词(自由语素)组合成一个新词(通常是名词、动词或形容词)的过程。也叫作文,它来自拉丁语,意为“放在一起”。
复合词有时写成一个词(太阳镜),有时写成两个连字符的词(危及生命),有时写成两个单独的词(足球场)。复合构词法是英语中最常见的构词法。
